Great news for students of Africa!! Young Africans now have the chance to study in Japan with full support. The Japan–Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) is now inviting applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. This scholarship is for African students who intend to pursue a master’s degree. This includes topics such as energy, health, engineering, agriculture, and the environment. The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Japanese government collaborated to provide this scholarship. About: Japan–Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS)
The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Japanese government collaborated to provide this scholarship. The JADS Scholarship is completely supported. That means that if you are picked, all of your educational expenses will be reimbursed. You will attend a university in either Japan or Africa (at chosen schools). The program’s purpose is to help Africa grow by providing training for young people. Who can return home and make a significant difference in their communities?

What Does the Scholarship Cover?
Following will be covered under Scholarship:
- tuition costs are paid in full.
- Monthly living allowance for food, transportation, and shelter.
- Return flight tickets.
- Health Insurance
- Support for research
- Assist with language training or computer skills as needed.
Who Can Apply?
Following are the list who can apply:
- You must be from a member country of the African Development Bank.
- You must be 35 years or younger.
- You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- You should have at least one year of job experience.
- You must be healthy and prepared to study full time.
- You must not be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
