- Be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or refugee residing in South Africa.
- Not receiving any additional personal social grants.
- Not live full-time in a state-run care home or institution.

When Will You Get Your Money?
Everything starts on Monday, September 2, 2025. That is when SASSA begins depositing funds into the accounts of the elderly. If you are 60 years or older, you will be eligible for the grant as of that date. Even if you are unable to attend on that specific day, your payment will not be forfeited. How much money will you be receiving?

- If you’re aged 60 to 74, you’ll pay R2,180 each month.
- R2,200 per month if you are 75 or older.
These are the same amounts as earlier this year. Right now, nothing has changed. Some stories even suggest that grants would increase in October. However, for the time being, the quantities will remain the same.
