Focusing on child exploitation and trafficking in 2025

The 2025 edition of the prize is dedicated to combating the exploitation and trafficking of children. This theme recognizes the severity and global reach of these violations, affecting tens of millions of children each year.

Priority areas and project focus

Applications are open to individuals and non-governmental organizations with projects addressing child trafficking and exploitation from a human rights perspective. Priority is given to projects that provide comprehensive support, implement transformative actions, and ensure children’s active participation. Projects may focus on raising awareness, identifying and supporting victims, training professionals, advocating for policy changes, or ensuring access to justice.

Award details and eligibility

Five winners will receive a medal and share a total of €70,000, awarded by the CNCDH, at a ceremony in Paris around December 10th. Five runners-up will receive a “special mention” medal. The prize is open to individuals and NGOs from any country, with applications generally required in French, though English and Spanish may be considered.

Application process

To apply, submit a letter of application, a detailed project description, a budget, and an organizational presentation in French by September 14, 2025. This prize highlights France’s commitment to defending human rights and supporting efforts to protect children from exploitation.
