Moving costs covered better: Military families move around a lot. Members will now be reimbursed in flat sums for relocation rather than based on their rank. Starting at $13,500 and rising to $27,000 based on how many moves they have already made. Additional travel, meals, and emergency expenses will be better covered.

Why Is This Happening Now?

The Canadian Armed Forces have been coping with major staffing issues. There are hundreds of available vacancies throughout the country. It’s been difficult to locate fresh folks eager to join.
