What Is This BIGD Young Researcher’s Fellowship (YRF) About?
The Young Researcher Fellowship is a four-month, full-time program. This is intended to help recent grads learn and develop as future scholars. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on work.

You will be referred to as a Trainee Research Associate (TRA) during the fellowship. You will work on genuine research teams and attend training sessions. Go to the field to collect data and create reports, all while being mentored by experienced individuals.
What Will You Learn?
In this Fellowship program, you will going to learn:
- How to design research studies
- How to collect and analyze data
- How to use software tools like Excel or STATA
- How to write clear reports and research papers
- How to work in a team and manage your time
Eligibility to Apply
The next round of applications has not yet opened. However, it normally occurs once or twice a year. Stay up to date by visiting the BIGD website or following their official sites. The following is the eligibility to apply:
- Be a Bangladeshi citizen
- Be under 30 years old
- Have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Be interested in social research and serious about learning
- Be available full-time for the four-month program (no part-time jobs or other studies allowed)
