For students who are studying at the University, their life is a little difficult, especially for students who come from backgrounds where support might be limited. So, this University College London (UCL) has come up with a special program in order to change that. University College London (UCL) has brought the application for the Student Success Fund (SSF). This program will fund projects that help underrepresented students excel in their studies and feel more supported on campus. About the Program: Student Success Fund
This program will assist staff members in developing and implementing projects. This makes universities more suitable for students who frequently confront greater problems. The goal is to improve how kids learn, interact with one another, and feel included. The fund fosters innovative ideas that benefit students from various communities. That are underrepresented or may require more assistance.
Eligibility of Students
- First-generation university students
- Students from minority ethnic backgrounds
- Disabled students
- Mature students
- Students who were in care or are estranged from their families
- Those from lower-income households
Three Types of Funding Available
- Seed Funding – Up to £1,000: This is for concepts that are still in their early stages. If you want to try out a new notion, start small. Also, this is the best alternative for doing a few student interviews.
- Sprout Funding – Up to £5,000: This level supports projects that are ready to be tested on a larger scale.
- Grow Funding – Up to £10,000: This is for well-developed initiatives that have previously demonstrated success. And now they want to reach more students or be used by additional departments at UCL.
Who Can Apply?
The deadline to apply is August 18, 2025, at 9 a.m. Only UCL professionals are eligible to apply for the grant, although students will benefit from the projects.
