In collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the University of Pretoria (UP) is seeking brilliant young Africans to apply for fully supported undergraduate and graduate (Master’s and Honors) scholarships. Students who show great academic promise and leadership abilities but encounter major social and financial obstacles to school are supported by the program.
Since its inception at UP in January 2014, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program has helped hundreds of young people in Africa obtain high-quality education. Since Phase 2 began in January 2024, the initiative has broadened its scope to assist even more scholars, including refugees, internally displaced people, and people with impairments.
The next generation of African leaders is cultivated by this revolutionary program, who will possess not just academic knowledge but also the values, abilities, and mindset necessary to spark social and economic change throughout the continent.
