It is divided into two parts: General Studies (30 questions, 60 marks) and an Optional Subject (90 questions, 90 marks, except for Mathematics, which has 70 questions). The Preliminary Exam is qualifying only, and its marks are not included in the final merit list.
- Main Exam: This is a descriptive written exam where marks contribute to the final merit list. It consists of two sections: Section A with 10 short-answer questions (125 words each, 8 marks) and Section B with 10 long-answer questions (200 words each, 12 marks).
- Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Main Exam will proceed to a personality test interview.
